The Culling Origins has never been an easy game, even when it took the world by storm in 2016. Fighting is quite intriguing with skill-based mechanics and surviving is the biggest challenge of the game. After all, the last survivor is the winner of the match. To make things a little easier, we have created our own The Culling Origins Strategy Guide with all the essentials you need to survive and get that first rank.
Don’t worry, we’re not going to teach you how to get a better ping or how to cheat… That would probably secure you tons of wins. We’re merely going over the basics and some advanced points that will give you better chances to win.
In the end, it’s all about creating opportunities for yourself to get ahead of your opponent. It’s about how you use your advantages as well. It’s also about your gameplay skill but what would you do with your skill alone if you don’t have any items? Pretty though uh?
So, let’s get started! The quicker you explore our tips, the faster you’ll get over the game strategy. And the better you play, the higher are the chances for you to win!
1. Strategize Your Perks & Airdrop
Selecting your perks and airdrop can be intimidating when you’re not sure what or how you want to play. There are endless builds in The Culling Origins and there is plenty of combinations that actually work.
But if you’re going for a win, you should follow a strategy from the very start. Don’t simply enter a match with random perks and a surprise me airdrop unless you’re looking for a real challenge. Otherwise, why would you rob yourself from increased chances to win by choosing the right build?
2. Set Your Strategy Based on Your Location
To make it simple on this one, you should adapt your strategy based on where you spawn. If you’re near a building, then don’t lose any time and start your scavenging. On the other hand, if you’re in the middle of the woods or if someone else is already looting a nearby building… Then, it’s time to move on and adapt.
You can always contest the area but chances are that your opponent will have a little more gear than you. So, think twice before engaging someone in the early game. Your victory might well depend on it!
3. Rush Scavenging and Selling
The fastest you loot buildings and gather F.U.N.C. the quicker you will be able to unlock better gear. As such, pick up all the items you see to keep and use or to turn into currency. If you’re overloaded, just throw the items at the blue vending machine. That will save you some time and sometimes time is all you need.
Don’t forget to sell everything you don’t need and activate the nearby gas pod before you proceed into the next area (you earn F.U.N.C.). Also, entering new buildings will reward you with some F.U.N.C.
4. Decide Between Your Airdrop and Blue Crates
In The Culling Origins, blue crates are extremely easy to unlock in comparison with what you can get from them. For just 50 F.U.N.C. you can get high tier loot, including guns, explosives, and body armor. So, if you’re having a slow match and you’ve got a late airdrop it’s probably wise to change plans. That’s why you’ve got blue crates in the game!
On the other hand, if you’re earning F.U.N.C. at a fast pace then don’t feel shy to open one or two blue crates before calling your airdrop. In most games, you can do both things safely especially when you get a couple of kills.
5. Loot or Craft Essentials
Before you go out to look for enemies, you should ensure that you’ve got the most essential items with you. For starters, you need a decent weapon and body armor. It’s quite difficult to loot body armor, so go ahead and craft a satchel and upgrade it to a crafted body armor. If you still have a tier one weapon, then consider opening a green or blue crate. If you’ve got a tier three weapon airdrop, then call it now!
It’s not a bad idea to keep a stim or two in your backpack either. And if you haven’t found a ranged weapon by now, you should probably craft a bow and arrows. Then, you’re good to go and engage in your first fight with confidence.
